5th & 6th Grade Boys & Girls Travel League
All basketball players in grades 5 and 6 have the opportunity to play for a travel team. Our 5th & 6th grade teams will take part in the Maine Summit League which will involve teams from nearby communities. After players are placed on teams, games will begin in early December. Teams will have 1-2 weekday practices (depending on the number of teams and gym availability) and play games on Saturdays or Sundays. Although this is a competitive league, player development and fair play is stressed.
The registration deadline is November 1st. No cuts will be made, everyone that registers by the deadline will be placed on a team. There will be a minimum of 8 players needed for each grade level/gender.
*Currently, the league is planning to require masks to be worn by all players at practices and games. This may change if vaccinations become available for this age group with a corresponding decline in case numbers.
