Recycling 101! Learn what happens to the items you place in your recycle bin. 508,000 tons of recyclables have been kept out of Maine landfills since 2006. That’s more than a billion pounds! Join Ecomaine’s education staff on a guided tour of Ecomaine’s single -sort recycling facility! Learn what happens to your “stuff” after you put it out on the curb or bring it to the dump. Bring any questions you have about recycling. Participants must be able to climb stairs and should dress warmly since the facility is not climate controlled. After our tour, we will stop for lunch (on your own) at a place TBD before returning to YCS.
