A centering, collaborative after school art club. A peaceful container for creativity to grow and develop.
Each week a new artistic technique to encourage “slow down” and “focus” will be touched on and a creative prompt that the group may choose to engage with or not. Otherwise, the kids will work independently, while the instructor visits anyone who has a question or needs some assistance. Awaken your kid’s imagination in a screen-free, calm and empowering atmosphere.
Kids are welcome to bring projects in from home, continue work from previous sessions or start fresh each meetup. Collaborations and group works are highly encouraged here.
Over the course of the program we will be exploring natural materials, clay, wire, oil pastels, tempera paints, watercolor, fiber, paper mache and found objects. Music, performance and poetry may have a place here given the group’s interest levels.
