We are excited to offer a new program for students in grades 3-5 this year! Sounds of Silence is a fun program where students learn American Sign Language and Deaf culture. Robin Sidders (founder/instructor) has been teaching ASL privately and through recreation departments for 15 years. Her creative teaching style includes games, movies, books, and possible community performances!
This winter session will conclude with a performance of The National Anthem in ASL at a Portland Mariner’s game! The upcoming spring session will conclude with a performance of The National Anthem in ASL at a Portland Sea Dogs game!
"Robin is an enthusiastic, fun and caring individual who has done an exceptional job working with students and instilling a love and passion for sign language." 2nd grade teacher at Mable I. Wilson Elementary (Greely Schools)
