Adult Hapkido
Jungki Hapkido at YCS
Hapkido is a Korean martial art focused on self-defense blending a variety of techniques including strikes, kicks, throws, and joint locks. Central to its philosophy are the principles of Hwa (Harmony), Won (Circular Motion), and Ryu (Flowing Dynamic), which guide students to effectively redirect an attacker's balance and momentum.
This Hapkido program, now in its 31st year at YCS, has a rich tradition of producing skilled black belt students. Among the notable achievements is the recent advancement of Yarmouth resident Michael Lichtenstein, (pictured below - left kneeling), who was tested at the world headquarters for Jungki Hapkido and Kuhapdo in Daegu City, South Korea. Congratulations to Michael on earning his 1st degree black belts in Hapkido and Kuhapdo!
Whether you are just beginning your martial arts journey or already hold a black belt, this class offers an inclusive and challenging environment that can be a great fit for practitioners of all levels
