Rooted by playwright Deborah Zoe Laufer is a quirky, laugh-out-loud comedy about Emery, a reclusive woman living in a treehouse who spends her days experimenting with plant behavior. When her YouTube videos unexpectedly go viral, followers begin to see her as a modern-day messiah, and draw her and her entrepreneurial sister into a series of hilarious and increasingly chaotic situations.
