11:00 AM - 6:00 PM    Hackmatack Farm & Playhous: 'Sweeney Todd the Demon Barber of Fleet Street'
Enter the shadowy streets of London where revenge, fate, and dark humor collide in the chilling story of Sweeney Todd.Sweeney Todd tells the sinister and thrilling tale of a vengeful barber who returns to London after years of wrongful exile. Reunited with his barbershop and fueled by the desire to bring justice to the corrupt judge who destroyed his life, Sweeney Todd partners with the resourceful Mrs. Lovett, whose meat pies gain a chilling new ingredient. Filled with razor-sharp wit, unforgettable music, and soaring emotion, this iconic musical explores love, loss, and the terrifying lengths to which a broken heart can go.Much of the allure of the playhouse is centered around its rural and historical character. Nestled against a hill where American bison now graze, Hackmatack Playhouse is located on the historic Guptill homestead, where the Guptills have resided since the 1680s. Berwick, in the 1600s, was seen as the wild frontier of the New World. The Guptills resided as subsistence farmers, etching out a living among the harsh climate and rocky soil of Maine, and navigated the socio-political climate of Colonial New England, including relationships with the Pennacook tribe (for more information about the Indigenous community in the Salmon Falls region, please visit the Indigenous NH Collaborative Collective).Hackmatack Playhouse was founded in 1972 by S. Carleton Guptill. Carleton envisioned a summer stock theater that would showcase the talents of professional and developing thespians from the regional New England area. For 50-plus years, the Guptill family has brought Carleton’s dream to life.*We will be stopping for lunch (on your own) before the performance.

5:00 PM - 6:00 PM    Youth Field Hockey League (Grades 3-6)
This youth field hockey league teaches the fundamentals of the game of field hockey. During the program players progress from stick skill development to basic defense, team offense and positioning on the field.  PreK - 2nd grade practices are on Saturday mornings 10:30-11:30am on the Turf with the High School coaches and players. Kids are grouped by appropriate age (PreK-K, grades 1-2). Games and scrimmages are held on a few Sunday mornings (dates announced late August).  3rd - 6th grade practices are twice a week:  Typically Wednesdays or Thursdays 5-6pm (day of the week will depend on HS schedule) on the YHS Field Hockey Grass Field. Skill development clinics for both age groups (3rd-6th as well as PK-2) are on Saturday mornings 10:30-11:30am on the Turf with the High School coaches and players. Games and scrimmages are held on a few Sunday mornings (dates for practices and Sunday games announced late August).   **6TH grade note:  Sometimes 6th graders have the opportunity to play middle school field hockey (which is 4 days a week after school) but that depends on HMS 7/8th grade numbers each year and that opportunity would not open up to 6th graders until the first week of September.  If 6th graders are offered that option, 6th graders can do BOTH (Youth League and Middle School) or request a refund for Youth League with YCS. Please sign up for the Youth League through YCS if you have a 6th grader who wants to play FH! This is a great opportunity to continue to develop or try a new sport while improving skills and having fun in a team sport environment!   Shin guards, sticks, eye protection (optional) and mouth guards are required. Sticks are available upon request.  League Coordinator:  Bre Morrill, YHS Coaches & Players  Dates: September 5 - October 10 Days, Times & Location: See links below Sunday Games at varying times & locations
