Garden Plot Renters get a 10 X 10 ft sunny organic garden plot for:$40/plot for residents and $43/plot for non-residents.Plots include fencing, tools, water, compost, and gardening advice.Registration will open on January 1, 2025: register online, call 846-2406, or come to YCS. We require that renters volunteer 6 hours per plot in our Community Garden where we grow vegetables for donation to the Yarmouth Community Food Pantry and Yarmouth Senior communities.
Our gardens are gorgeous -- come tour or rest in the shade. Volunteers are welcome and staff will provide guidance. We harvest every Tuesday and Saturday morning in the growing season. Look for us on East Main St. between Estabrook's Nursery and the Yarmouth Transfer Station at the Frank Knight Forest. We are a community of gardeners.Questions about the waitlist? Open Studio: Calm Creativity Awakening imagination and creativity in a calm, centered, co-creative atmosphere. Kids will use a wide array of materials to make projects of their choosing.New materials and techniques will be introduced to the studio each week. The kids will work independently, while the instructor visits anyone who has a question or needs some assistance. Collaborations and group works are encouraged here.A soundtrack of meditative, instrumental music will be played in the studio space to set the tone and atmosphere.Kids can bring projects in from home, continue work from previous sessions or start fresh each meetup. Open Studio: Calm Creativity Awakening imagination and creativity in a calm, centered, co-creative atmosphere. Kids will use a wide array of materials to make projects of their choosing.New materials and techniques will be introduced to the studio each week. The kids will work independently, while the instructor visits anyone who has a question or needs some assistance. Collaborations and group works are encouraged here.A soundtrack of meditative, instrumental music will be played in the studio space to set the tone and atmosphere.Kids can bring projects in from home, continue work from previous sessions or start fresh each meetup. Hip Hop Session 2 This class is for the active and enthusiastic dancer. Each 50 minute class will include warm up, conditioning, stretching, individual, group, and partner dancing. This class will teach students beginning hip hop moves, dance class etiquette, how to improvise while dancing, and how to work with a group all while using fun, age-appropriate music! This co-ed class welcomes all beginning dancers. Be ready to have fun and work hard in this fast-paced class!Please note that this class is for students only. Fitness Fun at Rowe - Session 1 Fitness Fun is an exciting class where you can play lots of different games and activities with your friends! In this class, everyone gets to move their bodies and have a great time together. You might play tag, jump rope, or even work as a team to win fun challenges. The best part is that while you are having fun, you are also getting strong and healthy! So come join us for Fitness Fun, where playing and being active is the name of the game!

Open Studio: Calm Creativity Awakening imagination and creativity in a calm, centered, co-creative atmosphere. Kids will use a wide array of materials to make projects of their choosing.New materials and techniques will be introduced to the studio each week. The kids will work independently, while the instructor visits anyone who has a question or needs some assistance. Collaborations and group works are encouraged here.A soundtrack of meditative, instrumental music will be played in the studio space to set the tone and atmosphere.Kids can bring projects in from home, continue work from previous sessions or start fresh each meetup. This is a largely student-led program; a respectful and grounding container for the group’s creativity to grow and develop.Materials used: things found in nature, clay, wire, oil pastels, tempera paints, watercolor, fiber, and found objects.Leader: Damaris DrummondPlace: World Language Room A105Fee: $138See sessions below.

Nordic Ski Rentals Ski with us or ski on your own...rent this top notch equipment at a great value and you won’t have to keep up with your growing student’s sizes each year! Equipment is used throughout the season from approximately December through the middle-to-the-end of March. Please stop by the YCS office to ensure we have the proper sizes for your children. We have a limited amount of equipment, and it tends to go fast!Grades: 1-8Fee: $80 for the season includes boots, poles, skis and equipment bag. Pay fee upon receipt of equipment.Come in to get sized! Limited equipment per size.YCS office hours: Monday -Friday from 8:30am - 4:30pm

Arts & Crafts After-School Club - Wednesdays Session 2 A fun and interactive way for children to practice fine motor skills and problem-solving capabilities while building confidence and creativity. We will be exploring different craft styles and learning about color, value, design, and composition through age-appropriate activities. Every session is unique, featuring different materials and focused projects that explore various types of media, with a strong focus on craftwork, fiber arts, printmaking & ceramics. Students will engage in projects such as weaving, beading, embroidery, and other textile arts while learning about shape, line, color, and texture.
