Fall Run Club - Fall Run Club Running is one of the most accessible forms of physical activity there is. It’s a healthy habit that anyone can enjoy for life, and it builds a foundation of fitness, that’s required for virtually every other sport. In this non-competitive program, we’ll give 5th and 6th-grade kids the know how they need to run relaxed, pace themselves, challenge themselves to get stronger, faster, and go longer, and cheer on their peers. We’ll cover the basics on fueling, safety, and injury prevention. Most importantly, we’ll help them discover how fun running can be. Each session will include games, appearances from local running “celebrities,” and hopefully lots of laughs. The focus will be on building confidence, fitness, and encouraging kids to define and shoot for their very own unique personal bests.* All program fees will be donated to support the YCS Scholarship Fund.
